New Zealand Orders
The cost of shipping depends on your location and order weight. We offer free shipping for orders above $250. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day. We guarantee the delivery of orders to valid and correct addresses in New Zealand.
For those who would like to buy kava in Auckland but don't want or cannot wait for a couple of days, you may be able to find most of our products at one of our retailers.
International Orders
We are happy to ship our kava to most countries and territories covered by New Zealand Post and their international partners. The shipping cost varies depending on the order weight and destination. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping is. The bigger the order, the lower the per kg cost of shipping.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 business day.
Customers based in Europe can order most of our products from our European distributor: Kava Europe.
Customers based in Australia can order most of the products we stock from our friends at Root and Pestle Australia.
Please note: Throughout the years we have successfully sent large amounts of kava to our friends located across the entire globe. The overwhelming majority of packages have reached their destinations without any problems. However, we are unable to guarantee delivery outside of New Zealand. If your package gets seized, lost, or doesn't reach you for any other reason outside of our control, we won't be able to offer a refund. Above all, please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are allowed to import, possess or use kava in your jurisdiction.
Shipping Zones and Delivery Times
The destinations where we can ship kava fall into two zones when it comes to the shipping rates offered by New Zealand Post.
Zone A: Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, China (PRC), Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United States.
Target delivery times: New Zealand Post aims to get all packages delivered to Zone A destinations within 5-10 working days. Because New Zealand Post does not directly control all parts of the delivery service, they cannot guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target times. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or held in Customs, may take longer.
Zone B: Rest of the World.
Target delivery times: New Zealand Post aims to get all packages delivered to Zone B destinations within 15 working days. Because New Zealand Post does not directly control all parts of the delivery service, they cannot guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target times. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or held in Customs, may take longer.

100% pure noble kava from pristine volcanic soils. Our farmers cultivate specific single cultivars in regions best suited for each variety. Each plant matures for 3-5+ years using traditional organic farming methods passed down through generations.
Always Processed from Fresh
Each batch is exclusively made from kava harvested to order - never old village-dried stock. All plants undergo rigorous assessment: cultivar verification, freshness inspection, contamination screening, and rejection of any unhealthy or damaged roots.
Cleaned and dried to fresh perfection
Freshly harvested roots are meticulously cleaned and dried using proprietary methods. The process preserves maximum potency, fresh aroma, and bioactive compounds, while ensuring food safety. Each batch is immediately vacuum-sealed or nitrogen-flushed, locking in peak freshness.
Every Batch Tested
Our kava undergoes comprehensive testing using UHPLC analysis (superior to standard HPLC), full microbiological screening, and chemotype verification in an advanced in-house laboratory. Every batch comes with complete certificates of analysis and exceeds FSANZ Standard 2.6.3 requirements.
