Premium Lateral Roots Blend: Pure Laterals, Rapid Onset

A strong, heady blend of 100% lateral roots from prized noble Vanuatu cultivars including Melo Melo and Borogoru, now available in our instant format. Laterals contain the highest kavalactone concentration and are richest in kavain, delivering rapid onset with cerebral intensity. The use of balanced/heavy cultivars provides a balanced finish despite the initial rush. Our single cultivars keep the root's natural laterals-to-stump ratio. Mighty Roots deliberately breaks it: pure laterals for extra potency and rapid cerebral character.

Made for experienced drinkers. Stronger and sharper than our balanced blends, with the more bitter, peppery edge that comes with pure lateral roots. If you're new to kava, start with Instant Green instead.

Character: Rapid, cerebral onset from the high kavain content, fast-acting and mentally intense. Despite the intense start, the use of balanced cultivars like Melo Melo and Borogoru creates a satisfying, balanced finish. Highest kavalactone concentration of any product in our range.

Taste & Aroma: Sharp and fresh. More bitter and peppery than balanced blends or our single cultivar products, a robust character typical of pure lateral roots.

Instant Format: Traditional kava powder contains coarse, woody fibres that must be strained out before drinking. For our instant kava, freshly harvested roots are washed, peeled, and have these fibres carefully removed prior to drying and milling into an ultra-fine powder. This is why you can enjoy it without any straining or kneading, just mix with water.

I certainly enjoyed trying a kava that was new to me, but to be honest in my opinion it wasn’t superior in either taste or effects to my old faithful, the regular Kava Society Instant Green. Good to have a change though, but it wouldn’t be a permanent resident on the kava shelf in my pantry.

Bought it at your partner kava bar in Auckland (Four Shells). This is strongest instant kava I have experienced. Kava Society say it is quite bitter, I actually find it to have a surprisingly interesting, complex and almost pleasant aroma and taste. Yes, it is sharper, but actually not that unpleasant. Either way, where it shines is the effect profile and potency. Incredible blend.

Good quality, easier on the tummy than some of the single variety instant kavas on offer.

Organically Grown Noble Kava

100% pure noble kava from pristine volcanic soils. Our farmers cultivate specific single cultivars in regions best suited for each variety. Each plant matures for at least three years using traditional organic farming methods passed down through generations.

Always Processed from Fresh

Each batch is made from kava harvested to order, never from old village-dried stock. Plants are inspected on arrival for the right cultivar, for freshness, and for contamination. Anything that doesn’t pass is rejected.
