Santo's Finest: Exceptionally Smooth, Uplifting and Refreshing

One of Vanuatu's three most popular nakamal varieties, Palarasul is prized for its exceptionally smooth character and light, floral profile. Grown only on Espiritu Santo, nearly all of it is consumed locally by those who've appreciated it for generations. Palarasul was the first single cultivar we sourced from Vanuatu and remains our personal favourite. It inspired us to build our entire fresh-processing system.

Character: Uplifting and refreshing with a clean heady profile, moderate onset, and gentle mellowness. Despite its heady character, Palarasul is known for a sense of peacefulness that makes it uniquely versatile. Reliable and consistent regardless of growing conditions. Popular for socialising, creative work, or peaceful contemplation.

Taste & Aroma: Pleasantly floral, smooth and creamy, with notes of cashew, lemongrass and spice. Exceptionally smooth and light.

Traditional Grind Format: Peeled kava root ground into a medium-grind powder. Contains the root's indigestible fibres, so it needs to be kneaded and strained before drinking using a strainer bag.

First time buyer of Kava. I would recommend this 100% to any one trying for first time. before buying I did look in to Kava as different Kara’s have a different experience, I wanted a more social experience and this kava did do this. Will be buying more thank you so much

I use Kava for a physical medical condition. The palarasul offers relief and a sense of wellbeing. It gives a smooth and chocolate taste to the palate and the effects are relatively immediate after ingestion. The Kava Society offers such a good range and fast delivery.

Doesn't have _quite_ the oomph of kelai, but it's a reasonable substitute!

Interesting kava with smooth silky feeling

Very interesting kava with an effect that was unknown to me before. It creeps up very slowly and each phase feels different. First slightly relaxed which turned into profound anxiety relief. The feeling was very smooth and silky. From a mental and emotional standpoint, felt hopeful and uplifting but not in a stupid blanket euphoria way. Perfect for any occasion - wow!

Henry all I can say is wow. The first thing I noticed was the color - one of the lightest colored grogs I've come across. Heady cerebral effects but not overwhelming. Became an overall balanced experience. My body felt super mellow but there was zero couch lock/lethargy/fatigue. Perfect for any occasion. Not overly stimulating or sedating. Zero undesirable side effects. Woke up the next day feeling refreshed and in a great mood. In the world of beer this would be the Michelob ultra. Remarkably pleasant effects - premium quality

Deceptively mild scent - none of the familiar pungent Vanuatu scent. Flavor quite similar but with a slightly more noticeable earth and pepper kick, very easy to drink. Remarkably pleasant effects even off just the first shell. Definitely the lighter/headier cultivar but significantly effective. Nice warm, dreamy mental sedation combined with contented headiness and bit of that loose swirly feeling behind your eyes. Very reminiscent of some of the good nakamal kava I got in Vanuatu.
